The sun will shine as DSBN students from across Niagara take part today in the annual Special Olympics.
Teacher Andy Dermatas, who sits on the Special Olympics organizing committee says “Every student has their own unique gifts and talents."
The day kicks off at 10 this morning at Welland's Centennial Secondary School which is sporting a newly installed synthetic turf field and and eight lane running track.
Over 650 students from more than 60 schools will take part in a number of events including long jump, softball throw and running events.
