A provincial investigation into a horrific beating of a resident at a Dundas nursing home has found the home failed to protect residents from abuse.
In January, 86 year old James Acker was severely beaten by another resident of St Josephs Villa while he slept.
The home has been cited for nine Long Term Care Act violations and must comply with three orders by May 30th.
Derreck Bernardo, President of St Joseph's, says they will continue to work with the province on the findings of the report adding safety of our residents remains a priority concern.
