A Philadelphia Eagles fan who stole a seat from the Minneapolis stadium that hosted the Super Bowl has agreed to pay for its replacement.
U.S. Bank Stadium manager SMG said Wednesday that it doesn't plan to take further action against the fan. That seat and two others that were damaged have been replaced.
Video of the man with a purple seat in the stadium's coat check generated more than 190,000 views on Facebook by Wednesday afternoon. A traveller later snapped a photo of him at the
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with the seat strapped to his carry-on suitcase.
Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority spokeswoman Jennifer Hathaway says the fan regrets his actions. Since extra chairs were previously bought in bulk, the cost to replace it, including labour, is estimated at $125.
