A principal from an East York elementary school is now facing an assault charge, after allegedly losing his cool, while dealing with an unruly student.
Police say it happened on September 19th, with an "altercation" between two students, during recess at Chester Elementary School near Pape and Cosburn.
When the principal moved in to break up the fight, the victim allegedly started throwing objects and spitting at the principal.
That's when police allege, Principal Sean Hume, pushed the 9-year-old boy, stomped him and kicked him in the head.
The Grade 5 student suffered minor injuries.
The boy told his parents, and they called the police.
