Education Minister Stephen Lecce says a work-to-rule campaign by public elementary teachers set to begin later this month will hurt children.
Lecce says he's disappointed the union has decided to escalate to a partial withdrawal of services even though there are only a limited number of outstanding items at the bargaining table.
But the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario says it had no choice but to begin job action on November 26th, because very little has changed since bargaining started.
It says the work-to-rule campaign is targeted at ministry and administrative tasks and will not hurt children.
