A heads up for Niagara residents who are required to carry an EpiPen.
The medication that helps decrease your body’s allergic reaction, is in short supply.
At this time, EpiPen has limited products at wholesalers, distributors and at pharmacies across Canada.
They're expecting a period of between two and four weeks of no inventory.
Pfizer is working with Health Canada to address this situation.
EpiPen Jr, for children between 33 and 66 pounds are NOT affected.
Niagara pharmacist, Sean Simpson urges users not to panic saying if residents rush out to order a new EpiPen if it's not needed that will make the situation worse.
EpiPen currently has no alternatives on the market in Canada.
