Be prepared to encounter Princess Leia, maybe Chewbacca and especially Wonder Woman this weekend in Niagara Falls.
Comic Con kicks off today and runs until Sunday at the Scotiabank Convention Centre.
The annual event has come a long way from its humble beginnings on Queen Street.
This year an all star lineup will be on hand signing autographs and meeting fans including the original cast of Degrassi High, John Schneider from Smallville and Dukes of Hazard fame, I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden and Seinfeld's John O'Hurley, to name a few.
Todays opening of Comic con coincides with the opening day for the much anticipated new Wonder Woman film
To mark the occasion, fans of the superhero are invited to a special march and ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 this morning at Table Rock.
The ceremony will be followed by an advance screening of the new flick.
Later tonight, the Niagara Parks Commission will dedicate their popular fireworks celebration to the film using Wonder Woman's famous colours and shooting giant “W” s throughout the show.
