Overall, it looks like we're in for a fairly mild fall.
The Weather Network is out with their fall forecast preview. Meteorologist Nadine Powell tells CKTB's Tim Denis we will see seasonal or slightly warmer-than-average temperatures to begin autumn.
"Although we are expecting that temperatures will cool a bit at the end of September heading into October where we see those temperatures dip a little bit, into November I think most of us will be happy with what the rest of fall has to offer. We're not really expecting a stormy season."
Powell also says this winter is not expected to be particularly harsh for Niagara, but cautions that winter is still months away and the forecast can quickly change.
Officials with The Weather Network also say the leaves may not begin to change until later than normal this year, but the trade-off is the foliage could be much more colourful than last year.
