As expected, Niagara's Casino's have confirmed they will not re-open on Friday.
Due to capacity restrictions capping indoor gatherings at 50 under Stage 3 of the province's re-opening plan, both casinos will remain closed.
While casinos are allowed to reopen under the guidelines of stage 3, table games at casinos are not permitted.
"We are excited that Niagara is able to take the step forward into Stage 3 this Friday, and we continue to move closer to a day that we can re-open our doors to our guests and associates" says Richard Taylor, President, Niagara Casinos. "Our teams have been working incredibly hard to get our properties ready to re-open and Safe to Play. We are reviewing the Stage 3 restrictions and what they mean for our re-opening plans. While we are not re-opening this Friday, we look forward to welcoming back our guests soon."
In the meantime, they will continue working collaboratively with the Canadian Gaming Association, Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG), the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services, Infectious Disease Prevention experts and members of our Joint Health & Safety Committee to implement all health and safety protocols for the protection of all staff and customers.
