Police are reporting a spike in misuse of the 911 system.
Last year, Haldimand County OPP received almost 1,000 calls to 911 that were either pocket dials, accidental calls, or non-emergency issues.
In 2017, the detachment says they only had 770 bad calls.
This comes as police in Norfolk County have also been dealing with misuse of the emergency system - including a kid calling police after getting snowpants for Christmas, a little girl who dialled 911 when she was told to clean her room, and two men who tried to get the police to settle a dispute over what to watch on TV.
