Police in London say they're investigating a series of gruesome discoveries involving mutilated animals.
Last week, officers responded to a report of a headless dog found on top of a recycling bin near a beer store.
The London Humane Society says there have been at least eight incidents involving 17 dead animals that have been posed in public places over the past year.
The incidents have prompted the London Humane Society to warn pet owners about a possible serial animal killer on the loose.
Western University criminology professor Michael Arntfield says he believes one person is behind all the incidents and warns the violent behaviour will continue to escalate if that person isn't stopped.
