Fenwick's own prognosticator is weighing in on the weather debate.
People around North America eagerly watched as weather forecasting rodents emerged from their homes; legend says if a groundhog sees his or her shadow on Groundhog Day, we are in for six more weeks of winter.
This morning the groundhogs were undecided with Shubenacadie Sam of Nova Scotia predicting an early spring while Punxsautaney Phil and Ontario's own Wiarton Willie caught sight of their shadows and declared six more weeks of winter.
The children of Fenwick gathered at Centennial Park on Church Street this morning to help wake up Fenwick Flossie, and she too saw her shadow.
It looks like Niagara is in for six more weeks of winter.
