Unifor and Fiat/Chrysler negotiators are not taking a Thanksgiving break as they continue to look for a deal before tonight's midnight deadline.

The union (which represents 97 hundred of the automakers workers) says they will threaten job action if no deal is reached.

Their top priority is securing jobs for its members and getting the automaker to commit to investment in Canadian operations.

Unifor is looking for a similar deal they reached with GM last month which included signing bonuses and wage increases.

Typically, the union uses the first deal successfully reached with the Detroit Three as a foundation for contract talks with the other two carmakers.
