MP Bill Morneau told a Liberal gathering in Niagara Falls this weekend that high employee turnover and short-term contract work will continue in young people's lives.
And he said government must think about how to train and retrain employees as they move from job to job.
Morneau also noted that some people will see their jobs disappear in the years to come, such as truck drivers and receptionists.
He said government must help out with support programs like the Canada Pension Plan, because people won't have the same pension benefits as previous generations.
Morneau's comments come days before he's due to deliver a fall economic update.
