You can celebrate Canada Day and get into the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls for free this year.
The Ford government has cancelled a Canada Day celebration at Queens' Park and instead put $80-thousand dollars towards free admission to 10 attractions around the province.
The 10 sites, include the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington.
David Adames from Niagara Parks, which runs the conservatory, tells CKTB they will open the doors to the attraction at 10am and the first 500 guests will enter for free.
The conservatory, on the Niagara Parkway, is home to over 2,000 butterflies, made up of 45 different species.
The price to enter the conservatory is $16 for an adult, and 6-12 years old is $10.25.
