The Boston Marathon has been cancelled for the first time in its 124 year history because of COVID-19.
The race was originally scheduled for April 20th but was postponed five months due to the pandemic.
Boston's mayor announced today that the event is being scrapped, saying it would not be responsible or realistic to go ahead with it any time this year.
The marathon usually attracts more than 30,000 runners from around the world including Olympic athletes.
