Short Hills Provincial Park will be closed to the public for six days in November and December for a First Nation deer harvest.
The hunting is a traditional activity recognized as an Aboriginal or treaty right.
The harvest will begin one half-hour before sunrise and end one half-hour after sunset.
First Nation harvesters will use archery equipment and no guns will be allowed.
A harvest zone has been established.
The harvest will take place November 11, 12, 25, 26 and December 4 and 5 this year.
