The IceDogs would surrender a goal 44 seconds into a Wednesday night and that proved to be the game winner as Kitchener won 6-0 at the Meridian Centre. The IceDogs remain in first in the Central, two points up on Barrie, with both teams having played 42 games.
The Rangers built a 3-0 opening period lead with the middle goal coming on a penalty shot. Two more in the second included a short-handed marker with a power-play strike to close out the scoring in the third.
Kyle Langdon was noted for his effort throughout the night, including a second period scrap.
