The IceDogs would surrender a goal 44 seconds into a Wednesday night and that proved to be the game winner as Kitchener won 60 at the Meridian Centre. The IceDogs remain in first in the Central, two points up on Barrie, with both teams having played 42 games.

The Rangers built a 3-0 opening period lead with the middle goal coming on a penalty shot. Two more in the second included a short-handed marker with a power-play strike to close out the scoring in the third.

Kyle Langdon was noted for his effort throughout the night, including a second period scrap.
