Five people are facing charges after Niagara Regional Police say they seized more than $17,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin in Fort Erie.
Officers executed a drug warrant at a home in the Forsythe and Waterloo Street area on Saturday.
During the search approximately $17,750 worth of drugs were seized along with $1,420 in cash, a shotgun, and ammunition.
Police arrested and charged 28 year old Charles Longaphie of Fort Erie, 31 year old Chantell Weagant of Fort Erie, 24 year old Robert Sostemi of St. Catharines, 39 year old Sherry Cole of Toronto, and 24 year old Terrance Gordon of Toronto.
They all face various charges including drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession of a non-restricted firearm without a licence, and careless storage of a firearm and ammunition.
Longaphie, Weagant, and Sostemi were also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
