Flags at St. Catharines City Hall are flying at half staff to pay tribute to Gord Downie.
Mayor Walter Sendzik says the flags will also be lowered when the lead singer of the Tragically Hip is laid to rest.

One of the flags that fly in the Garden City include the Haudenosaunee flag.
Meantime, The First Ontario Performing Arts Centre in St.Cathairnes will be collecting donations for The Gord Downie Chanie Wenjack Fund as they screen the 2017 Tragically Hip concert film Long Time Running at The Film House tomorrow night (Friday) at 6:30pm.
