Another Flood Outlook notice has been issued for Port Colborne with high winds on the way.
A Special Weather Statement has been issued for the entire Niagara region warning us of winds reaching 80 km/hr Saturday.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority says Lake Erie water levels in Port Colborne will increase due to surge by 0.7m over current water levels with significant wave heights up to 1.5m.
Peak water levels are forecasted to occur midday Saturday.
Officials say during this time, there is an increased risk of shoreline erosion and flooding resulting from strong wave action and surge.
Residents living along Lake Erie are urged to monitor the situation closely.
Water levels are well above the long-term historical average and are forecasted to remain elevated through spring 2019.
Winds are expected to calm down late Saturday night.
