Niagara, Hamilton, and HaldimandĀ residents could experience flooding with rain in the forecast today.
Officials with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority warn waterways are already high due to the recent snowmelt and localized flooding is possible as Niagara receives 10 - 25 mm of rain today and tonight.
Experts say flooding is most likely later tonight and into tomorrow.
Ice jam flooding is also possible as the water levels destabilize the existing ice.
Drivers are reminded to be careful on the roads, and parents are asked to keep kids and pets away from streams and creeks.
