CFL legend Michael Pinball Clemens will join officials from 8 regional police services, 14 food banks and 24 communities this morning to unite in an effort to fill the foodbanks for the summer.
Niagara Police along with Community Care of St Catharines/Thorold and Project Share in Niagara Falls will all take part in the initiative.
The campaign entitled JUST GIVE is designed to inspire kindness throughout our community by filling food banks, at a time when shelves are typically empty and client visits increase.
In a release, organizors note most residents support local food banks during holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter and this is an effort to raise awareness and much needed donations during the summer season.
