Ontario Premier Doug Ford addressed the province today with a focus on the business community.
Ford's 'call to action' is asking Ontario companies to submit proposals to create much needed medical supplies such as ventilators, lab testing equipment, masks etc.
Ford says Ontario is the beating economic heart of Canada and he's hoping companies will retool plants and help stop the spread of the virus.
There are over 300 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, and over 1000 in Canada.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are ventilators at each Ontario hospital, and the province has 200 not in use, and 300 others ready to go if needed.
Ford says our medical community is running out of supplies and it's time for the business community to do its part.
