Premier Doug Ford is urging Ontarians to download a COVID-19 contact- tracing app that is now available after an earlier delay.
The free app for Android and iPhones notifies users if their device have recently been near a person who tests positive for COVID-19.
Ford says it will be a huge benefit as Toronto and Peel Region enter Stage 3 of re-opening today -- and the more people who download it, the more effective it will be.
The app was originally supposed to launch as a pilot in the province on July 2nd and is currently only linked to Ontario's health system with more provinces joining soon.
