The Weather Network says most Canadians dreaming of a white Christmas will have something to celebrate this year, as large swaths of the country will see at least two centimetres of snow on the ground on Christmas morning.
Here in Niagara - the possibility of a white Christmas is a little spottier - Meteorologist Doug Gillham says there are some bare patches across the region.
Over the next few days we do have temperatures above freezing so Gillham says we will se the snow that is already on the ground starting to melt away.
Regions likely to experience a white Christmas span the country and include Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Fredericton and the three territorial capitals.
The odds are longer in places like the coast of British Columbia, Calgary, Halifax and St. John's -- but forecasters are not ruling out the possibility of white stuff on the ground on Sunday.
