Another twist in the ongoing saga of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
Former CAO Mark Brickell filed a two million dollar lawsuit against the agency in a Welland court yesterday.
The CBC says Brickell alleges he was fired from the post in a bizarre series of events that included secret meetings and anonymous Gmail accounts.
Brickell was fired in December, shortly after he terminated the director of corporate resources, Dave Barrick.
The CBC says Brickell claims then board chair Sandy Annunziata pressured him to resign, at one point asking him if he cared more about money or his reputation.
When he failed to resign he was placed on administrative leave and then was asked to hand in his keys.
The day he was fired, the new interim CAO rescinded Barrick's firing paving the way for Barrick to replace her and become interim CAO
