Niagara police have been investigating a series of break and enters in Fort Erie over the past month.
Yesterday afternoon, they responded to a B&E in the area of Gilmore Road and Mary Street after a man was seen running from a home.
Police say a person - they describe as a Good Samaritan - chased the suspect causing him to drop a quantity of stolem items.
Police located and arrested the suspect who was charged with several other break ins.
Thirty-six year old John Chrysler of Fort Erie was held for a bail hearing November 24th.
