A 51 year old Fort Erie man has been arrested after a lunch time bank robbery in the town.

A 51 year old Fort Erie man has been arrested after a lunch time bank robbery in the town.

Niagara Regional Police were called to the CIBC bank on Niagara Boulevard near Princess Street around 12:40 p.m. esterday after reports a man had entered the bank concealing his face and demanding money. 

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash but was arrested a short distance away in possession of the stolen currency. 

Michael Mrozek has been charged with robbery. 

He's being held in custody for a bail hearing today.
