The fragile cease-fire between Israel and Hamas appears to be back on track after the release of a second group of militant-held hostages and Palestinians from Israeli prisons.
An Egyptian spokesperson says Egypt has received new lists for an expected third release.
The U.S. says it has ``reason to believe'' that an American hostage would be among those released Sunday.
In a separate development, the Hamas militant group said one of its top commanders had been killed.
The four-day cease-fire began Friday.
Hamas is to release at least 50 Israeli hostages, and Israel 150 Palestinian prisoners, but the U.S. says it is working with all sides on a possible extension.
