The Lincoln and Welland Regiment will be taking part in a special commemoration this weekend.
During World War Two, Canadian forces took part in a series of operations that led to the liberation of the Dutch city, Bergen op Zoom.
On Saturday, the Regiment will be marking that occasion with a church service at 11 a.m.
They will march from the Lake Street Armoury at 10:45, conducting an ancient rite dating back to Ancient Rome known as 'the Freedom of the City' as they make their way to St. George Anglican Church.
Following the service, they will parade back to the Armoury at 1 p.m.
