A rainfall warning remains in effect for Niagara, and now a freezing rain warning has been added for St.Cathairnes, Grimsby and North Niagara.
Environment Canada says a brief period of freezing rain will continue this afternoon before changing to rain late this afternoon or early this evening in north Niagara.
For the rest of the region, a rainfall warning continues.
Forecasters saying that rain will continue today.
Rainfall amounts of 25 to 35 mm are expected before the rain ends this evening.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
