Expect more freezing rain in Niagara today.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Niagara as a low pressure system will push toward the Great Lakes through the day.
The Weather Network's Doug Gillham described the system as 'minor'
"We'll have some freezing rain in the evening, but we're not looking at anything that will be an issue for power outages. We're not going to see the accumulation of ice that we've seen in some of the previous events."
Gillham says it will all start this afternoon.
"Period of light snow likely mid-afternoon, could see a dusting up to a centimetre, and then we switch over to that freezing drizzle, some light freezing rain. That will continue until about mid-evening and then the temperatures climb above freezing."
Niagara Student Transportation Services has tweeted out "Morning and afternoon transportation is running today for the District School Board of Niagara and Niagara Catholic District School Board. We are monitoring the forecast and will evaluate today’s secondary school late activity bus operations and make an announcement by 11 a.m. if they are cancelled."
