A frozen feline from Niagara Falls is recovering after the cold weather snatched up one of her nine lives.
The cat, now known as Violet, was found nearly frozen to death in Niagara Falls on Sunday, January 7th.
Animal lovers from the Facebook group 'Lost and Found Pets in the Niagara Region Canada' quickly came to Violet's rescue, with the Ninth Life Cat Rescue stepping up to help.
An update from Susan Hoina-Chandler says although the cat is now recovering, the hospital stay is expected to be lengthy and the rescue group is collecting donations to help with the cost of treatment.
The whole ordeal serves as a reminder for pet owners to bring animals inside when temperatures begin to drop.
