A new fund will help local groups improve Facer Street.
St. Catharines Council unanimously agreed to earmark $10,000 to keep the street a bustling hub of activity.
The Facer District Revitalization Partnership Fund can be accessed by community groups and private organizations working to improve or restore Facer District.
Through the fund, the City will match contributions from local groups dollar-for-dollar up to a cap of $10,000 for 2018.
Council will revisit the decision in 2019 to see if the Facer District Revitalization Partnership Fund should be scrapped or adjusted.
