A gofundme page set up for the mom at the centre of an Amber Alert case from Welland is back up.
The page established days after Allana Haist disappeared with her nine year old daughter Layla suddenly became unavailable yesterday afternoon, but it is now back up and figures show, it is close to reaching its goal.
So far people have donated just over $8600 dollars towards a $10,000 goal to help Allana pay for lawyers in a custody battle with Layla's father.
The page was set up by her uncle Paul Dillon who explains on the page "I have set up the Allana Haist Custody Fund as a means of providing Allana and Layla with the money to secure a lawyer to help them through this legal dispute. Allana's ex- husband is a very wealthy Egyptian businessman with the financial resources to crush Allana's legal case over an extended period of time. The Allana Haist Custody Fund is intended to ensure that Allana and Layla have a fair chance to win their case."
Police meantime continue to search for Layla and her mother and urge anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to give them a call.
