BNN Bloomberg casting doubt on the future of the Ford Motor Company in Canada.
The business news network says reports have surfaced that a new design for the Ford Edge could be shelved which could leave the assembly line in Oakville with no new products.
BNN quoting a report from Autoforecast Solutions that Ford may be scrapping a plan to build the new Edge crossover.
That is one of two cars still being produced in Oakville, the other, the Nautilus is being moved to China in 2023.
The report begs the question, what will be left for the assembly line to produce?
Ford employs abut 4, 000 workers at the Oakville plant.
