Gap's parent company is refusing to say how many Canadian stores it's going to close as part of a plan to shutter almost half of its global locations over the next two years.
Gap plans to close 230 stores and will only say most of the closures will come in North America.
It has also announced plans to split its brands into two publicly traded companies with Old Navy falling into one business and the other including Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, Intermix and Hill City.
