Garbage and recycling collection delays continue in Niagara

Some Niagara residents are still waiting for garbage and recycling pick up. The Niagara Region says additional crews will be working today.
More delays for waste collection in the region:
After what has been described as a week of challenging weather conditions some Niagara residents are still waiting for their recycling and garbage to be picked up.
Cold weather and staffing issues delayed collection last week, and residents were told to leave their blue boxes curbside for pick up over the weekend. Collection has still not been completed in Grimsby, Lincoln, Pelham, West Lincoln, and St. Catharines.
Residents in Grimsby, Niagara Falls, and Niagara-on-the-Lake also say their garbage and green bins were not picked up.
Additional crews are hitting the street this morning to complete collection. They will start in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.
