Experts predicting the price would climb by four to five cents a litre after OPEC member nations agreed earlier this week to cut production.
The move sent the price of a barrel of oil to its highest level since mid October and analysts expect it to climb to about 55 dollars a barrel.
A quick check this morning of gas prices around Niagara, finds prices varying from around 96 cents a litre to as high as $1.05, at several stations in Niagara Falls.
So if you see gas for under a buck you might want to stop this morning and top off your tank.
