A reminder we spring forward this weekend, but for some Canadians there will be no turning back.
This will be the last time residents in the Yukon turn their clocks forward.
The territorial government deciding to end the practice of seasonal time changes and will remain on Pacific daylight time year round.
The move came after 70 percent of residents voted in favour of permanent daylight savings time during public consultations that started in January.
Now for the rest of us, we change our clocks Sunday morning at 2 a.m. (March 8th)
Clocks are turned forward one hour to 3 a.m. meaning will get more light in the evening.
Fire departments are also reminding residents to change smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
St. Catharines Fire Chief Jeff McCormick says changing of the clocks is a perfect reminder for residents to test alarms and replace their batteries.
He also reminds landlords that they must ensure alarms are installed and working properly, or face fines.
The Ontario Fire Code requires working smoke alarms on every storey of a home and outside all sleeping areas.
Carbon monoxide alarms are required outside sleeping areas in homes containing a wood-burning fireplace, fuel-burning appliances such as gas furnaces, gas stoves or gas water heaters or an attached storage garage.
