Go Transit is making it a little easier to get from Niagara to Burlington.
They are adding six more workweek buses to Route 12 Burlington-Niagara starting on September 2nd. That will mean commuters will only wait a half hour between buses from Burlington to St. Catharines.
There will also be an earlier morning bus from Burlington to get students to Niagara College in time for morning classes.
Other changes across the network include:
- extending two morning train trips on the Barrie line from Maple to Allandale (15 minute service during busiest travel periods)
- a new morning and afternoon train on the Barrie line (all stops from Bradford to Union Station)
- nine new midday and evening weekday bus trips and two new weekend bus trips on Route 29 Guelph-Mississauga (hourly, all day service)
- thirteen new weekday and four new weekend bus trips on Route 40 Hamilton-Richmond Hill
- Realigning Route 19 and 40 to include Dixie Transitway Station
The province is putting $21.3 billion towards transforming the Go network into a regional rapid transit system.
