Fresh off taking four of a possible six points in last weekend’s three in less than three days excursion, the IceDogs will do it again, heading west. This time, it’s Friday in Flint, Saturday in Saginaw and Sunday in Sarnia.
A couple of the Dogs Michigan residents will have to miss action on home turf. Aaron Haydon was slapped with a delayed two game suspension for a helmet infraction in Barrie and Drew Hunter will miss the Flint game as well, serving the second of his two game league mandated punishment.
Flint sits 8th in the Western Conference and boasts one of the league’s top scorers in Ryan Moore. His 36 points have him in 7th spot in OHL scoring. It will be the first of two meetings between the team’s this year.
Saturday in Saginaw, the Dogs will be looking for the season sweep, having beaten the Spirit 5-3 on October 27th. While Saginaw is 10th in the west, they have won 6 of their last 10 games.
Sunday it’s back to Sarnia and an afternoon matchup with the Sting. Jordan Kyrou is their top scorer and has dished out 24 assists. Nikita Korostelev is often his passing target, having scored 15. The only other meeting for the year on October 13th was won 5-4 by Sarnia.
610 CKTB will have all the action with the pre-game starting at 6:30 on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday.
