It's not often police bust a driver for impaired operation of a golf cart, but that's exactly what happened over the weekend in Brantford.
Police received a call Saturday night around 7:00, from a concerned citizen who reported a man driving a golf cart on Wayne Gretzky Parkway.
The caller telling 911 he appeared to have an alcoholic beverage in his hand.
Police quickly located the driver.
After failing a roadside screening test, the 23 year old Brantford resident, was arrested and given a breathalyzer.
The driver was charged with 80 Plus after blowing double the legal limit.
He also faces a charge of driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.
