Goodlife Fitness is facing a 60 million dollar class action lawsuit.
While the suit still needs to be certified by the courts before it can move forward, it accuses the chain of failing to compensate thousands of employees across the province for their hours of work and overtime.
The suit, being handled by labour law firm Goldblatt Partners, also claims GoodLife fails to pay staff for prep time for classes and the time they spend seeking new clients.
When contacted by the Toronto Star, a spokesperson for the fitness chain says they disagree with the allegations and are preparing to defend themselves in court.
The lawsuit will cover any non unionized workers, both past and present, who worked at the chain since 2014.
