The Ontario government is announcing an expansion to Go Train service, but Niagara doesn't even get a mention.
Today, the Ford government says they are keeping their promise 'to get people moving faster' by adding additional Go Train service along the Lakeshore Lines.
27 new trips will be available on the Lakeshore East between Oshawa and Toronto's Union Station, while 17 new weekday trips are being added to Lakeshore West.
The additional trips on the West line will only go as far as Oakville.
While on the campaign trail, Ford assured the people of Niagara he would review plans for year round Go Train service, and that residents 'should not be worried.'
Politicians have been advocating for full service to Niagara Falls by 2023.
