Ontario's minimum wage will stay at $14 an hour.
The announcement from Labour Minister Laurie Scott pauses the increase to $15 planned by the former Liberal government that would have come into effect next year.
Scott says the government will be conducting consultations on the minimum wage to see if an increase is in the future.
While on the campaign trail, Doug Ford vowed to eliminate provincial income tax for minimum wage earners.
Scott also announced the WSIB fund that had a $14 billion shortfall in 2011 has been topped up. "As a result the average premium rates for employers are being slashed by almost 30% starting January 1st, 2019."
