A change in market conditions is blamed for the loss of 46 jobs at a floral company in Grimsby.
Westbrook Floral has decided to consolidate its operations and will close its Grimsby headquarters and shift the work to its warehouse in Beamsville.
A total of 68 workers are affected by the move, 23 employees were transferred to other sectors within the company.
Westbrook Chair, P.J. Vermeer says the company will no longer deliver potted plants straight to grocery stores, instead they are delivering to the big chain's shipping centres.
Vermeer says they are working to find jobs in the region for the 46 employees affected by the move.
