It's been a week since the murder of a Toronto woman in Grimsby.
Last Friday morning 30 year old Amber Cobean was found badly injured in the parking lot of a Grimsby retirement home at the corner of Bartlett and Main.
The mother later died in hospital.
A Toronto man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
39 year old Mark Burrell had his case put over until February 20th.
The Toronto Sun is reporting that Burrell has been charged with murder in the past.
He was initially charged with first-degree murder for his role in the 2003 death of Darwin Pozo, who was shot inside his Brampton apartment almost 16 years to the day before Cobean’s death.
At the conclusion of a trial in 2006, Burrell was found guilty of manslaughter and served 4 1/2 years in prison.
A GoFundMe account to help pay for Cobean's funeral and to financially help her daughter has almost reached its goal of $15,000.
So far $10,000 has been raised.
