Grocery delivery has launched in Niagara.
Loblaws has partnered with Instacart to bring the grocery delivery service to Niagara.
Delivery is available to over 228,000 local St. Catharines and Niagara Falls area households.
Residents will be able to order from local retailers like Zehrs and Real Canadian Superstore and have the groceries delivered straight to their doorsteps in as little as one hour.
Instacart General Manager Andy Anthony spoke with CKTB's Tim Denis to explain how the process works. (You can listen to the interview by clicking here.)
He says when someone puts an order through on Instacart, it gets sent to an Instacart representative who goes to the store, purchases the items, and then makes the delivery.
Anthony says they're hiring a 100 people.
The delivery service launched in Toronto last December.
